Why is Brihaspati called the Guru of the Gods?





Brihaspati is known as the Guru of the gods because he presides over all supernatural knowledge and wisdom. He is also said to be the regent of Jupiter and the teacher of the devas, or heaven-dwellers. Brihaspati is correspondingly the deity who Grantas, or bestows grace. As a result, he is counted among the eight greatDetectives which further enhances hisigious credentials in connection to truth and spiritual balance. All these reasons make him an excellent figure to head up supernatural wisdom and be called the Guru of gods.
